Common Questions

What is co-working?

In Google dictionary terms, coworking is defined as a type of work that includes “the use of an office or other working environment by people who are self-employed or working for different employers, typically so as to share equipment, ideas, and knowledge.”

Whether you work for yourself, for a company, or as a freelancer, you can benefit from all the amenities of an office without the overhead. At the Foundry you’ll find meeting spaces, printing, WiFi, coffee, and, most importantly, a network of creative and big-idea type people to help you realize your goals.

What is a makerspace?

Back to Google Dictionary, which defines a makerspace as “a place in which people with shared interests, especially in computing or technology, can gather to work on projects while sharing ideas, equipment, and knowledge.”

A makerspace was the perfect complement to our co-work space, where ideas can be brought from the back of a napkin to life. To that end, we consider our space to be more of an “Idea Shop.”

Here you’ll find a laser engraver, 3D printers, software for programming and design, electronics equipment, large format printing, and much more. Techs on hand can help navigate your way around, and the maker community is made up of all experience levels.
