Downtown Living

The whole idea behind Block22 actually started with an idea to provide quality, affordable housing units for Pittsburg State students in the city’s downtown district. These wouldn't be traditional residence hall rooms ... they would be different. Much different.

Within the historic corridors of four beautiful buildings at the heart of our city, Block22 features nearly 100 modern, urban-style apartments for PSU students. The apartments are an official component of the PSU Housing experience.

The apartments come in four distinct layouts: suite, flat, studio, and loft. There are 97 one-bedroom apartments along with 2 two-bedroom suites. Each come fully furnished with full kitchens, living space, and private bathrooms. Each space boasts unique, historic character and special features such as murphy and loft beds, spiral staircases, library ladders, built-in desks and shelves, fireplace mantles, etc. Each apartment will be individualized. Apartments will be similar but not exactly the same.

The price to live at Block22 ranges from $525 to $650, and that includes all utilities and high-speed Internet.

Students who live at Block22 will also have access to Block22-specific parking and a shuttle bus that runs from downtown Pittsburg to Pitt State’s campus.
